Manchester is surrounded by national parks.
They are beautiful, loved and well treated.
It's easy to reach them by car or train and there are many trails at many levels of training.
I have to admit though, the criteria with which I choose them is also by their names: they're so fascinating!
If I loved The Lord of the Rings , I would be in heaven.
Too bad I never made it past the first few pages and the first few scenes!
On a June Sunday we went and walked up the Mam Tor and the Great Ridge of Hope.
We were so lucky to find people paragliding off the top of the mountain: it was so captivating to stare at them with so much amazement on how they so seemingly effortlessly were navigating the sky.
